We're bringing back our 5x7 Art Show, but we're changing it up a bit this year...
Foursided invites Chicago-area artists to submit original work for our second Mini Art Show, running from September 11 – October 11, 2026 in Lakeview and September 25 – October 25, 2026 in Andersonville. Works will be selected by Foursided for display in one of our two show locations.
Submission Guidelines (PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY AND CAREFULLY):
- Size: ALL work must not exceed a total outer dimension of 6"x8", but they can be smaller (total outer dimension includes any frames, wires, or any other piece of the work). Anything not within these dimensions will be automatically disqualified from selection or artist will be responsible for making adjustments (i.e. removing a protruding wire or using a smaller frame).
- Ready to Hang: All pieces must be wall-ready upon delivery.
- Mediums: Original one-of-a-kind works only (screenprints, risograph, linocuts, painting, embroidery, etc.). We will NOT be accepting digital prints, with the exception of photography. Please disclose materials/methods used for each piece. Please refrain from using any AI.
- Limit: Up to 3 submissions per artist. Additional entries will not be reviewed.
- Photos: Please upload 1 photo per submission
- Sales: All works must be for sale. Artists set their own prices. This year we are placing a cap on pricing - the maximum price we will accept is $150 per piece.
- Commission Split: 70% to artist / 30% to Foursided.
- Show Duration: Selected pieces must remain on display for the full duration of whichever show they are selected for (Lakeview vs. Andersonville).
- Submission Deadline: August 24, 2026.
- Notification: We’ll notify all artists by August 28th, whether selected or not. Artwork must then arrive to 2958 N Clark St in Lakeview anytime during our business hours between August 28th and Sept. 9th. We will let you know which location your work ends up at and you will be invited to that location's opening (Sept. 11th for Lakeview, Sept. 25th for Andersonville), but are more than welcome to attend both!
- Artwork Pickup: Unsold works must be picked up by 7 PM on November 7, 2026. Any pieces not collected will be donated.
