Job Position: eCommerce Manager

Full Description

Foursided is a small business with 4 locations in Chicago and an online store. We have been in business for 20 years and are committed to bringing art and imagination to life while providing opportunity for local and regional artists and makers. We are looking for a team member to manage our online Shopify website in close collaboration with our marketing team.

• Develop an eCommerce strategy and execute on adding all Foursided in-store product to Shopify to maximize traffic and sales growth.
• Create new and optimize existing product listings. Adjust, promote, or remove products based on sales volume. Create consistent approach for all products and categories with a strategic plan for new products based on season.
• Work closely with in-store staff to ensure customer service, responses, automated emails, shipping and delivery meet Foursided's high expectations for service and quality.
• Manage SEO and content creation efforts to increase site traffic. Content is created by marketing manager with input from you.
• Test and optimize website to maximize website performance and customer experience
• Stay on top of industry related trends and bring opportunities to management.
• Analyze metrics, develop improvement goals, provide regular executive summary.
• Basic IT support - set up new laptops, assist with POS system, credit card processing ettc
• Perform any additional duties as assigned

• Previous technical experience with Shopify, email marketing, paid advertising, and Google Analytics
• At least 2 years of experience in eCommerce marketing to include experience with Shopify, Email Marketing, Paid Advertising, SEO, website optimization
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
• Problem solving skills with the ability to handle tasks with initiative
• Self-motivated with integrity and accountability in hybrid role that will sometimes require being at our stores in Chicago's Lakeview or Andersonville neighborhoods and sometimes remote.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to react to changing priorities, in light of retail business seasonality
• Job Type: Full-time; Foursided is a retail business, open 7 days a week, except major holidays. Our busiest months of the year are December and November.

Schedule

There is flexibility in your hours, however generally core hours are ~10am to 6pm Monday through Friday with flexibility needed for a once month manager meeting after 6pm. Foursided requires periodic hours of evening or weekend support to collaborate with other managers, such as a 1 hour monthly evening manager meeting and a 1 hour weekly/biweekly web/marketing meeting.

Work Location

A shared work space is available at either 2956 N Clark or 5061 N Clark with at least 1x per week visits to other locations in Lakeview and Andersonville.
